This painting is watercolor on paper and was painted from a photo I took at the Yankee River dredge north of Chalis Idaho. I love old machinery, vehicles and rundown buildings. I was attracted to this old pump because of its beautiful, orange and red colors and its interesting combination of shapes. The combination of colors and shapes created an interesting mix of sunlight and shadow on the surface that I hoped to capture.
