Beloved

“Beloved” is a watercolor portrait of a very special boxer dog, Gladys. She was a friend, comforter and light to her family. She instinctively knew when anyone was troubled or stressed and would provided a steady reassurance with her constant presence, often resting her head on her family’s knees while looking up at them with those soulful eyes. All those who met Gladys remarked on her big heart, and sweet nature. Sadly, she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, at the age of nine, during a veterinary exam due to a condition called Boxer Cardiomyopathy. She will be forever remembered and her memory treasured.
